What to do?
The Island of Berlenga is located in front of Peniche, about 7 miles, constituting with the Farilhões, Estelas and Forcadas the Achipelago of Berlengas. It is approximately 1500m long and 800m wide. The fish and the diverse marine fauna, provide ideal conditions for diving, or simply for a boat trip around the island
Medieval village of ”bidos
The medieval village of Óbidos, classified as UNESCO World Heritage, is one of the most picturesque and well preserved in Portugal. Within the walls, we find the well preserved Castle and a labyrinth of streets and white houses that enchant those who walk there.
Throughout the year, a program of events brings excitement to this small town, but without doubt the most popular are the International Chocolate Festival (in April), the Medieval Market (in July) and Vila Natal (in December).
Peniche is the place that offers the best conditions for practicing this sport in Portugal, thanks to its geographical location. Dino Parque Lourinhã is the largest open-air museum in Portugal, set in an area of 10 acres, including 4 courses corresponding to some of the most important epochs of the earth's history: The end of the Paleozoic, the Triassic, the Jurassic and the Cretaceous. Along these routes visitors can observe more than 120 models of dinosaurs and other animals on a real scale.
